WHAT WE DO

The Northeast Oregon Water Association (NOWA) was formed in 2013 to unite public and private sectors in the Mid-Columbia region, ensuring a coordinated approach to water development and sustainability.

In 2019, the Mid-Columbia Water Commission (Mid-C) was established by the East Improvement District (EID) and the Columbia Improvement District (CID) under ORS 190. Mid-C oversees mitigation rights, manages water use assessments, and administers water programs to ensure responsible water management in the region.
